Do AI assistants recommend local businesses?

Yes — and increasingly so. Ask any major assistant for the best plumber, dentist or law firm in a city and it will name specific businesses, not just link to a directory. For local service providers, that makes AI visibility a real lead channel, not a novelty.

How does AI pick which local business to name?It resolves you as a clear local entity, then leans on local directories, review platforms and 'best of [city]' roundups it trusts. Consistent citations in your city decide it.
