A Better Business Bureau profile is a modest, legitimate trust signal for AI visibility, strongest for local and service businesses where trustworthiness is central to the question being asked. The BBB is a crawlable, recognized source, so a claimed profile with accurate name, address, phone and category adds one more consistent corroboration of your business and, where you have an accreditation or a solid rating and resolved complaints, a small credibility cue a model can read. The honest caveats are real: BBB carries less weight with assistants than it once did with consumers, its influence varies by industry and region, and an unclaimed or inconsistent profile can actually hurt by adding a contradictory version of your details to the web. It is not a lever that gets you recommended on its own. The move is to claim it, make every fact identical to your site and other listings, handle any complaints properly, and treat it as one small, consistent node in the overall picture rather than a priority above your website, reviews and category-specific directories.
