Does publishing on Medium help AI recommend you?

Publishing on Medium can be a real AI-visibility win because you're borrowing a high-authority, heavily-indexed domain that models crawl and quote constantly. A substantive article that clearly explains what you do, names your category in the language buyers use, and links back to your site gives an assistant another credible, third-party source tying your expertise to your space. The catch is that the authority lives with Medium, not you — so treat it as a distribution and citation play, not a replacement for owned content. The move is publishing genuinely useful, specific articles (ideally in a relevant Medium publication), linking to your own canonical pages, and making sure your name and what you do are unmistakable in the text.

FAQ

Why would a Medium post help AI recommend me?Because Medium is a high-authority, heavily-crawled domain, a clear article there becomes a credible third-party source that ties your name to your category. Models read and quote it, and the link back reinforces your owned site — you're borrowing Medium's trust and reach.

What kind of Medium article actually moves the needle?Specific, genuinely useful writing that names your category and what you do in buyers' language, published in a relevant Medium publication where possible, with an honest link back to your canonical pages. Thin, keyword-stuffed reposts of your blog do little; original, substantive pieces do the work.
