A Vimeo channel does little for AI visibility on its own, because Vimeo's videos aren't as heavily indexed or as freely crawled as the open web's text sources, and a model can't watch a video — it reads text. The visibility value of any video, on Vimeo or elsewhere, comes almost entirely from the words around it: an accurate title, a detailed description, and above all a full transcript published on a page assistants can read. Where Vimeo can matter is as embedded, transcribed content on your own indexable site — a demo or explainer whose transcript answers real buyer questions in language a model can quote and attribute to you. As a standalone Vimeo channel with no supporting text, it's close to invisible to AI; as a source of transcribed, embedded video on pages you control, it becomes genuinely useful. The rule holds across every platform: video helps AI visibility only once it's turned into readable, structured text on a page a crawler can reach.
