Does Apple Intelligence recommend local businesses?

Apple's push to weave AI more deeply into Siri, Maps and its apps raises the same question every assistant now does: when someone asks their device for a business nearby, whose name comes back? The practical answer is that assistants lean on the local data and sources they can resolve and trust — a complete, consistent business profile, an accurate location and hours, and corroborating listings and reviews. For Apple's ecosystem that makes an accurate Apple Business Connect profile and clean, consistent information across maps and directories especially worth getting right, alongside the website signals that help across every assistant.

FAQ

What helps a business get surfaced in Apple's ecosystem? The same local fundamentals that help everywhere, with Apple-specific emphasis: a complete, accurate Apple Business Connect profile, correct location and hours, and consistent listings and reviews across the maps and directories a device can corroborate. Assistants will not confidently name a business whose basic data they cannot resolve.

Is optimizing for Apple different from ChatGPT or Google? The core is shared — accurate, consistent, corroborated information and a crawlable, clearly written website — but Apple leans on its own Business Connect and Maps data, so keeping those accurate matters more in its ecosystem. Getting the fundamentals right helps across all of them.
