Conflicting information is one of the most common and most fixable reasons AI assistants describe you wrong or skip you. Models build a picture of your business by reconciling what they read across your site, Google Business Profile, directories, reviews and citations — and when those sources disagree on your name, address, phone, hours or category, the model has to guess which version is true. Sometimes it picks the stale one, sometimes it hedges or omits you rather than risk being wrong, and sometimes it splits you into two half-formed entities that each look thin. None of that helps you get recommended. The fix is name-address-phone and entity consistency: pick one canonical name, address, phone and category, make every listing match it exactly, correct or retire old and duplicate listings, and reinforce the right version with Organization and LocalBusiness schema and matching citations so the model has a clear, corroborated answer. The goal isn't more mentions — it's agreement across the mentions you have, so the model can resolve you with confidence instead of hedging.
