How to get recommended by AI after moving locations

Moving to a new address quietly breaks the signal assistants rely on most for local recommendations: a consistent, corroborated location. For weeks or months after a move, a model may still cite your old address, hesitate because your listings conflict, or drop you from area results it no longer connects you to. The businesses that recover fastest update their address and service area everywhere at once — the website in plain text, the primary map and business profiles, and the directories that feed AI answers — and make sure nothing still points to the old spot. Until the new location is consistent across the sources a model checks, an assistant has conflicting information and tends to stay cautious, which is exactly when recommendations slip to competitors whose location is unambiguous.
