If an assistant like ChatGPT never brings you up, the reason is almost always one of a short list, and most of them are about your website rather than the model. The crawler may be blocked, or the page may build its content in a way a fetch cannot read, so you are invisible before the question is even asked. The site may be thin or unstructured, giving the assistant nothing clear to quote about what you do and where. Your entity may be weakly established — few third-party mentions, inconsistent details, little corroboration — so even a browsing assistant cannot verify you confidently enough to put your name in an answer. And a newer or lesser-known business simply has less durable presence for a training-data answer to draw on. None of these is fixed by waiting; each maps to a concrete website change: open the crawler, structure the facts, make your identity consistent, and earn a few real citations. The model is not snubbing you — it has not been given enough about you that it can trust.
